Investing in Silver

Investing in silver is difficult. They dont have etf/gold fund like mutual funds yet. I have as yet not invested, although I also am interested.

I would avoid MCX futures - that is just short term speculation.

You can find jewelers who will give you ingots of silver in kilogram quantities for long term investment. You have to keep in bank locker. It is about 33000 per Kg and measures smaller than an iron bar of same weight. You can buy maybe 5-10 Kilos and keep in locker and open after 10 years.

Returns are likely to be 1.5 - twice the gold returns in the long term.

Most people recommend 5% of investment in gold of which 1% can be in silver
